Measure of success of Cyber Post (Click for full report): Based on a paper presented in Web and Society Track at the WWW10 (May 1-5, 2001) conference in Hong Kong.

In 1996, an engineer started Cyber Post, a monthly supplement in The Kathmandu Post. This was the first regular publication. This brought more information to the readers. It provided information from the Internet, and raised discussions about issues in IT policy, access and content development. It carried informative articles on web site designing, searching the web, demystifying the PC, hackers etc. More than a news supplement, for the first time it tried to bring Internet to the people through the print medium. Cyber Post is still the only regular IT publication in Nepal.
